Our Cafe Family
Hemingway by Mo
From humble hospitality beginnings back in 2013 with Mo Espresso in Trinity Arcade, The Barretts continue to find new ways to showcase their appreciation for all the hard work and decision making made from origin to cup.
A first-step decision made by the Barrett family back in 2013 was to choose Five Senses, and for that we are ever grateful! Owner Neil considers this defining to the success of Mo Group.
“We did our research. Looking for the best coffee provider available to us, be it within Western Australia, or elsewhere. Every experience we had at venues supplied by Five Senses Coffee was outstanding. They were also the provider of our favourite coffee machine in the world; the Synesso. Then, when we met with the Five Senses team, we were just so impressed by their enthusiasm for coffee. The training, the experience, and our shared values was exactly what we were looking for.”
Quite possibly the holy grail of cafe experiences. You walk in the door of the former power station to beautiful 15 metre high ceilings streaming with natural light.
Open for lunch and dinner the 130 seats venue showcases exquisite food and coffee and is a must visit for local Melburnians or inter-state travellers.
La Veen Coffee & Kitchen
La Veen Coffee & Kitchen is located in a heritage-listed building on the corner of King and Wellington Streets in the Perth CBD. With amazing primeval brickwork and near floor-to-ceiling windows, the front bench is dwarfed by the behemoth of an espresso machine, a powder coated six group, 2nd generation Synesso Hydra.
The first in Australia. La Veen was 18 months in the making. They are the first to admit that they came to us with little knowledge of specialty coffee, but and have quickly established themselves as one of the best cafes in WA.
Located in the heart of Brisbane's West End, Morning After is the vision of mother and son Soula and Yianni Passaris. This professionally designed café by Derlot show their clear attention to details in which the design imparts an open community feel.
Besides the obvious attention to quality coffee made on a matte white powder coated Synesso, Morning After’s menu is mouth wateringly good. If ever in Brisbane plan on brunching here.
The fit out of this Ascot Vale local is immaculate and the attention to detail carries through all aspects of this space, including the coffee programme.
Bringing some character to the sterile new Brisbane development of Milton, Bunker is true to its name - tucked away in an old garage over grown with creeping fig vine.
Coffee and community are clearly on everyone’s minds as the enter the garage, which creates a fun environment to casually engage, talk coffee and check out their retail shelf full of brewing equipment, coffee and shaved drinking chocolate.
Tucked right into WA coastline on Trigg beach is Island Market. Now serving ‘Hats’ alongside delicious coffee and brunch, thanks to the recent Good Food awards.
Bonus; they were just named top ten for Aus! Congrats team!
We work with many other inspiring cafe owners and are always keen on helping build a larger community of people focused on serving excellent coffee experiences. If you’re keen to chat with us about joining us in this pursuit, we’d love to hear from you.
