Although many came to try their luck and compete in the 2019 NSW Regional Aeropress Championship – only one stood victorious.
Winners
Gold – Anthony Sofatzis
Anthony fought hard through each round and proved himself victorious by taking out the top position.
Silver – Daoz Pirada
Daoz successfully took out this title for the second year in a row.
Bronze – Lucky Salvador
Lucky not only proved himself but helped mentor fresh players while he was waiting for his round.
Coffee
Every year we send a few of our team on a pilgrimage journey to visit various coffee regions and reconnect with the wonderful people who grow and produce some of the delicious coffees we buy year after year. This year our team had the immense privilege of stopping in at Fazenda Guariroba in Brazil to see the birthplace of our Guariroba Cup Of Excellence coffee. At the same time, and on the other side of the world, we used that very same coffee as the official NSW Aeropress Championships coffee. Competitors were all given Guariroba COE #8 to practice with and to brew with on the night, with bags available on the night for anyone keen to keep the good brews going at home. We’re incredibly proud of our relationship with SanCoffee and their member farms, and we hope all who tasted this stand out coffee enjoyed it as much as we do!

Well done to all competitors who truly made this a memorable event. We had some legends come up on stage and compete, some colourful characters who took out the Wild Card round, an amazing display of legs from Caro, Dan and Scotty from Single O, and a big shout out to Min from Bunker Coffee who won the internal comp and flew down from Queensland for the event.
